A clean open trench in a suburban yard with a new blue water line and black conduit on a bed of sand
How we work

Six steps from first call to a restored yard.

A clear, unhurried process that keeps you informed and in control.

The journey

What happens, and when.

  1. A smartphone on a truck dashboard showing an incoming call with a suburban yard and marking flags through the windshield
    01

    Call or send photos

Tell us what you need and send photos or a site plan if you can. We plan the visit so we arrive ready.

  2. Colored utility marking paint lines and small flags across a lawn and driveway edge
    02

    Locate and plan

We call 811, walk the site, confirm lines and plan the route and depth.

  3. A tablet with a blank estimate form and a pen on a truck tailgate with a rolled site plan and tape measure
    03

    Quote and schedule

You get a clear written price, and we agree a day and an arrival window.

  4. A new green water pipe and black conduit laid in a trench on a smooth sand bed with a roll of yellow warning tape
    04

    Dig or bore

Trenching or boring to the plan, with safe walls, careful spoil handling and protection for your lawn.

  5. A compactor plate and a mini excavator backfilling a utility trench with clean stone in layers
    05

    Install and test

Pipe or conduit laid on a good bed, joints checked, tests and inspections done before cover-up.

  6. A freshly seeded and strawed lawn over a completed trench line with a green pedestal and cleanout cap
    06

    Backfill and restore

Compacted backfill, grading, sod or paving repair and a walk-through with you.

Timing

How long does it take?

How long does a typical job take?

A single service line or cleanout can take a day. A sewer replacement or a long conduit run takes a few days, and subdivisions and commercial sites take weeks. We give you a time estimate before we start.

Do I need to be home?

It helps to be there at the start and the end, and we keep you posted during the work by phone or message. Please keep children and pets away from trenches and equipment.

What should I do before you arrive?

Move vehicles and anything stored over the route, tell us about gates, animals, sprinkler lines and soft ground and do not dig yourself. We call 811 and take care of the rest.
