Site and Parking Lot Lighting Trenching

Trenches, conduit, pull boxes and pole bases for parking lot, walkway and landscape lighting circuits.

Light poles in a parking lot look simple, but each one stands on a concrete base with conduit coming up through it, and every base connects to a buried circuit. If that underground system is built poorly, the lights flicker, fail or cannot be serviced without tearing up the lot.

We trench and bore the routes, install conduit and pull boxes, set and form pole bases with anchor bolts at the right layout and stub conduit into each base. Work is sequenced around paving, so conduit is in before the asphalt and the bases are ready when the pole crew arrives.

Layout accuracy

Pole bases must land on the lighting plan. We stake from the drawing, check dimensions and fix any conflicts with islands, curbs and drains before the concrete is poured.

Before the paving

Crossing a lot after it is paved means cutting asphalt. We install conduit and sleeves at the right time so the new surface stays intact.

Boxes you can reach

Pull boxes need to be at grade and accessible. We set them where electricians can open them later without moving anything heavy.

Maintenance access

Bulbs and drivers fail, and cable can be damaged. Accessible pull boxes and clear route records make repairs quick and avoid digging up a lot.

Questions

Site Lighting Trenching FAQ

Do you install the poles and fixtures?

We build the bases and conduit. Pole setting and wiring are done by the electrical contractor.

Can lighting be added to an existing lot?

Yes. We bore or cut and patch where needed and install new bases.

How deep are the conduits?

Depth depends on the code and the location. We build to the plans and local requirements.

Do you handle landscape and walkway lighting?

Yes. Smaller circuits are trenched and conduit is installed for the electrician.

How do I find a failed lighting circuit?

Pull boxes at accessible locations let an electrician test sections without digging.
