New water mains laid in straight, well-bedded trenches, with valves, fittings and testing planned before the first pipe goes in the ground.
A water main is the backbone of everything that depends on it: homes, hydrants, irrigation and businesses. It sits underground for decades, so the work that matters most happens on the day it is laid. Depth, bedding, joints and valve placement decide whether a main will quietly do its job or become a recurring problem.
We install water mains for developments, commercial sites and rural extensions. The trench is cut to the required depth and width, the pipe is laid on a prepared bed, joints are made carefully and the line is backfilled in controlled layers. Pipe type, size and testing follow the specification set by the water utility or the engineer of record.
Main extensions are normally designed by an engineer and approved by the water utility. We build to those drawings, coordinate inspections and tell you early if a field condition means the plan needs a change.
Water lines are set below frost depth and below nearby utilities where required. We check depth as we go, so cover is consistent along the whole run and not only where it is easy to measure.
Gate valves, tees, bends and hydrant tees all need proper restraint so pressure does not push them apart. We set thrust blocking or restrained joints as the plans call for and keep fittings accessible.
A new main is flushed and disinfected before it goes into service. The utility sets the procedure and takes the samples. We keep the line capped and clean throughout construction so nothing has to be redone at the end.

We build from drawings prepared by an engineer and approved by the utility. If you need a design, we are happy to point you toward the right professionals and then price the construction.
That depends on the agreement with the utility. Many mains are accepted by the utility after inspection, and we explain what the process looks like for your project.
PVC, ductile iron and polyethylene are all common. The utility specification usually decides, and we handle each material the way it should be handled.
It depends on length, depth, soil and crossings. We give you a realistic schedule once we see the plans and the ground.
Pressure tests are performed as the plans require, and the utility handles disinfection sampling. We prepare the line and support each test.
